Who is killing?  Even though the killing spree has intensified its owners are missing. A couple of days ago 26  people including destitute labourers, working young children and other small time manual workers at vegetable market   Islamabad   were killed. Their flying, defamed, charred bodies are asking questions. The questions that remain unanswered. Who has killed us? Why has our life span been terminated like this? What will happen to our families behind us?

The questions though remain unanswered, there comes to the fore interior minister with glad tidings. Ever willing to do so. ‘Those who have made children orphans will never be spared the wrath of God.’ Quite reassuring. Now, guaranteed that God will bring some satisfaction to the bereaving families by punishing the culprits who cut short the lives of their bread winners, but who would keep them alive sans the bread winners? Finding the henceforth unknown culprits is no problem because God Has His ways.

However, not restricted to the bereaved families is another tidings. Yet another, more amazing , and more satisfying. Mr. (sic) Shahid Ullah Shahid, the mouthpiece of Taliban has declared unequivocally that ‘it is Haram (unlawful) in Islam to take the life of any innocent person.’ Quite satisfying for the whole nation. It may not bring any immediate relief to the bereaving families directly impacted by their erstwhile bombing campaign that has left more than 50,000 victims (albeit innocent ; including old men, women, children, infants and yet to be born babes), however, the development is encouraging; Yeah!

We are thrilled! We are delighted that Taliban have fear of God in them. They know that innocent people’s lives are sacred and cannot be taken away by random bombing. At least we have the satisfaction to know that Taliban also know God does not condone murder.

Satisfaction is contagious. Our interior minister is now at peace (with himself) throwing the ball in the court of God. We are a chosen nation. God is our Interior Minister now. He will apprehend the culprits even though they have not left any clue, try them in His court, pass judgment and hand over exemplary punishments to the culprits. He will do this, supposedly, quickly in a speedy trial  style to discourage other would be bombers. Soon, they all will know that they cannot escape the Justice of God.

However, skeptic s among us are bent upon making our lives hell. They see no difference between our interior minister and the incumbent of Taliban; no more than it is between a  puppet and a pawn. They think both are lying. Our interior 
minister is as much closer to God as Taliban are  to scriptures. Both have least idea what they are talking about. Politics over God and religion, at best, can be described as a joke in bad taste. It leaves everyone flabbergasted; witless or intelligent, no one knows when the holiness leaves and the corporal (worldly) enters their lives.

Despite all the confusion killing people in the name of God and religion (sic Islam) is the weirdest things one can imagine. God can kill people Himself.  He does not need Mullah’s help to do so. Not only this, Mullah is also appropriating God’s right to consign people to Hell or Heaven. Most people he himself or his acolytes kill are consigned to Hell with a certitude. Had it not been their abode in the hereafter these Mullah would never have thought of consigning them to the 
other world. As Mullah Shahid Ullah Shahid has unequivocally said that ‘it is Haram (unlawful) in Islam to take the life of any innocent person.’

In the whole chequered history of Pakistan we have not seen such a spineless  interior minister. He can talk- and talk good without having the least idea what he is talking about. He can at best qualify  as a peace time interior minister, when all institutions are working alright and the interior ministry is left to oversee routine work. However,  in the present situation, he is a misfit.  Pakistan deserves  a big favour from him;  leave the job voluntarily  to a better person.
